Last week my favorite current show, Community, gave an awesome shout out to one of my favorite canceled shows, Firefly. Like many fans, I didn’t discover Firefly until it was out on DVD, long after it had been canceled by the shortsighted Fox. But Firefly’s premature cancellation isn’t stopping fans (Abed and Troy of Community included) from doing everything they can to get Firefly back on the air.

As a realist, it’s hard for me to believe that the show could ever come back, at least not with the full cast and crew that made it so amazing. But I have to admit, the dedication of Firefly’s fans is extremely impressive. Continue reading →
