Awesome: Sandy beaches with big (but not too big) waves

Sucky: It’s really expensive

Awesome: A million restaurants with food from all over the world

Sucky: Traffic

Awesome: Los Angeles, Hollywood and Downtown Culver City

Sucky: There are some neighborhoods that should definitely be avoided

Awesome: Snowy mountains just a few hours away

Awesome: The film industry

Sucky: More than our fair share of spoiled people

Awesome: An amazing cultural salad bowl (apparently melting pots are no longer PC)

Awesome: Venice, Santa Monica, and the Palisades

Sucky: More traffic

Awesome: Pasadena and Claremont

Awesome: Everything at your fingertips

Awesome: the South Bay

Sucky: Never being able to find a parking space

Awesome: Beach volleyball

Awesome: A plethora of hot clubs, dive bars, local hangouts, after work spots, singles lounges, etc, etc

Sucky: Downtown LA

Awesome: Disneyland

Awesome: Road trips to Las Vegas for the weekend

Awesome: The Getty, LACMA, and MOCA

Sucky: Even more traffic

Awesome: San Diego

Awesome: UCLA

Sucky: USC (Ok, not really, but as a Bruin it is my responsibility to be biased against Trojans)

Awesome: Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, and Balboa Island

Awesome: Your favorite food delivered at 3:00AM

Sucky: The sometimes very gross smog

Awesome: The weather!!

Awesome: Groovy people

Awesome: The opportunity to do and be whatever you want

  1. Public Transit sucks in LA. LA should have built a BART like system instead of more freeways.
